Country Thunder Alberta Postponed to 2021

Country Thunder Music Festivals has been forced to make the disappointing and difficult decision to reschedule Country Thunder Alberta to 2021.

The fate of the popular three-day festival was sealed following Thursday afternoon’s announcement from Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer, suspending all mass gatherings for the summer of 2020.

Country Thunder Music Festivals has always been committed in providing exceptional live event experiences, and Country Thunder Alberta was shaping up to be the biggest ever. That said, it’s clear that at this time, with Covid-19 restrictions continuing, the safety of our fans, friends and neighbours became a new No. 1 priority. This festival will, however, return to the great city of Calgary with Country Thunder Alberta already set for August 20-22, 2021.

“This is not the outcome we were hoping for, but we can only look forward to getting back to normal in 2021 and having an incredible event in a city we all love,” said Troy Vollhoffer, CEO of Country Thunder Music Festivals. “We thank you for your patience as we work through the details of rescheduling this event and we can’t wait to see you all in 2021!!”

All ticketing options will be automatically honoured for the rescheduled 2021 dates - fans do not have to do a thing. Ticket holders, please watch your email for correspondence regarding our transfer/refund policy, which you will receive on April 29, 2020. As always, we thank our incredible fans, sponsors, corporate and media partners and supporters for your continuing faith in our events and your unwavering support during this unprecedented reality.

We can’t wait to see you in 2021!
