Country Thunder Arizona 2016 wrap – April 18, 2016
The Thunder roared in the desert!
Country Thunder Arizona 2016 is in the books and the bar has been set very high, indeed. Rock steady and memorable performances from likes of Cam, Randy Houser, A Thousand Horses, Florida Georgia Line, Kip Moore, Jake Owen, Old Dominion, Chris Janson (wow!), the Cadillac Three and a jaw-dropping Sunday evening close from Eric Church will go down in CT lore for many years to come.
With an average of over 29,000 country crazy folks on-site for each of the festival’s four days, the concert bowl, vendor kiosks, food and beverage trailers and massive camping areas near Florence, AZ, all worked together in creating the coolest city in America from April 7-10.
The performances were stellar, but looking back at a Country Thunder event of which many are referring to as one of the most memorable ever, it was those fans that made it so.
A little bit of rain on Thursday and a little more rain on Sunday did little to dampen the spirits of the greatest fans in all of music. Following the mid-day afternoon showers on the final day, a double rainbow dominated the skies and set the stage for Houser and Church to end the festival with a bang.
Country Thunder Nation then took over, filling the concert bowl with good vibes by singing, dancing, swaying and smiling until the last note had been played.
Thanks for the memories . . .
We’ll do it all again next year at Country Thunder Arizona 2017 – see you all there!
